Kendall Coskrey
Hi and welcome to fourth grade! My name is Kendall Coskrey and 2023-2024 will be my first year at Mountain View Elementary. I am thrilled to be joining this wonderful community! I worked previously for 14 years in Social Work and teaching is now my second career. I began teaching in 2016 and have taught Kindergarten and First Grade. I have my Master’s Degree as well as my Gifted Endorsement and I am excited to use my prior knowledge to elevate my students growth in 4th grade. I am married with one son who will attend MES as well. My son, Kason, is my pride and joy. I am a graduate and resident of Cobb County and after working in Atlanta, I could not be happier to be “home.” I love what I do each day and I am thankful that you are trusting me to teach your child.

Sarah Femiano
My name is Sarah Femiano and this will be my first year here at Mountain View! I am so excited to be teaching in the community where my husband and I will be raising our daughter who was just born in March. I was born and raised in Salem, Virginia and attended High Point University in North Carolina where I hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in elementary education with a concentration on children’s reading and writing. After graduating, I taught first grade in Raleigh before moving to Atlanta in 2019 for my husband’s job. Since moving to Georgia, I have taught second and third grade in Dunwoody and most recently I served as an EIP teacher focusing on literacy for third, fourth and fifth grade students. This will be my ninth-year teaching and I have a true passion for reading instruction and cannot wait to dig deeper into texts with students and strengthen comprehension and writing skills. In my spare time, I love traveling to visit my family in California, Connecticut, Florida, New York, and Virginia (we truly are all so spread out across the country) and spending time with my husband, daughter and our Pug, Pickles.

Tamerine Flatt
After graduating from Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES) with a degree in Early Childhood education, I spent nearly ten years teaching in the Virginia and Illinois school systems. I was lucky enough to stay home raising our three children, all of whom are graduates of Mountain View Elementary School. When they got older, I returned to the classroom at Shallowford Falls and then Mountain View , and I am very proud to continue the family tradition of being a mountain lion!

Hi, my name is Lisa Philpott and I am so excited to be teaching Fourth Grade! I was born and raised in South Africa. After graduating from high school, I came to the States and attended Kennesaw State University. It was there that I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. My teaching career began in Fulton County where I taught grades 2nd and 4th before staying at home with my own children. I then taught several years of Pre-kindergarten. My husband and I live in Cobb County and we have three children. Our son Jacob is in 11th grade and our daughters Caitlyn and Anna are in 9th and 6th respectively. We also have an adorable yellow lab, Ranger. When I am not at school, I can be found cheering my children on in their activities, playing tennis, reading, crafting, baking, or at the lake. I am excited to meet you and am looking forward to getting to know each of your children!
