Jessica Merlin

My name is Jessica Merlin, and I have been a school counselor at Mountain View Elementary since 2019. I graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.A. in Psychology and Georgia State with an M.Ed. in School Counseling, and an Ed.S from the University of the Cumberlands. As a school counselor, I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with every student and support all students’ social, emotional, and academic needs.  I believe in providing school counseling services for all students that are equitable, data-driven, and developmentally appropriate. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and family, trying new restaurants, and walking outdoors.

Lindsay Macdonald

I am so excited to be part of the Mountain View family!  I grew up in this community, attending East Side Elementary, Dickerson Middle, and Walton High.  I graduated from Furman University, with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education, and Georgia State with a M.Ed. in School Counseling, and University of the Cumberlands with a Ed.S in School Counseling.  I have a wonderful husband, Ryan, and two fantastic children, Ali and Bryson, a mischievous cat, Kitty Kitty, and a sweet pup, Evie.  In my spare time, you can find me at the courts, tennis or volleyball.  I have been in education for many years and I have a firm belief that I have the best job in the world: I get to keep children safe, help them, and make them happy!  I look forward to every day when I can work with students, families, and teachers!
